6 events of celebration

First out was Entreprenörsskapsjakten, by Gustaf Josefsson, where I together with KVD.se (Kvarndammen) was judging a section when the competitors tried to come up with creative solutions to use social media for attracting new customers. The results were in great variety but overall very good and creative! The winners were Entreprenörspartiet with Lisa Lindgren, Ludwig Jonsson & Adrian Swartz.

Later at the night it was time for celebration with Idéfestivalen and Idégalan.

The day after I was spontaneously invited by my friend Johannes Hansen to attend and coach competitors in Hjärna, Hjärta, Cash, a competition that last for 48 hours and was about creating social entrepreneurship. The ideas were great and I’m looking forward to follow them to real business ideas.

After that it was time for Stockholm and SM in Ung Företagsamhet. A two day long event with incredible ideas and energy that refreshed your whole body. One of the days was meant for a national board meeting which I was attending. The winner was Bolsa UF.

One of the speakers for the opening ceremony was the Swedish prime minister, Fredrik Reinfeldt, which I, Viktor Nord, offcourse had to say a few words to.

Young Entrepreneurs of Sweden was represented by former UF-students Joakim Bank, Emma Knaggård Wendt, Erik Fjellborg and Per Anderberg Almhorn. Unfortunately I, Viktor Nord, am not a former UF student.

After that I went to Örebro to my friends Mikael Blix and Johan Berglund at Sportion to attend their yearly office party with a lot of familiar faces.

Then it was time for the 17 of may celebration in Oslo which last for a couple of days. I envy the Norwegian passion for the national day!

Here is my partner and better half Christian Josefsson and me Viktor Nord in the middle of Oslo. Take care so long!

10 Billion Tweets!

This is crazy. About one year ago Twitter reached a huge milestone: one billion tweets. Four months ago, five billion tweets were served. And now, in about one day, Twitter should reach another very important milestone: 10 billion tweets .

I read a few days ago an very interesting article about how Twitter in the classroom is boosting studen engagement. Studies frequently discover that greater participation translates into better academic performance, motivation, and a likelihood of adopting different points of view, which is why it is so striking that Twitter can foster that type of communication.

Classroom shyness is like a blackhole: Once silence takes over, it never lets go! In a class of hundreds, the fraction of students who speak up is small, and a still tinier fraction contribute regularly.

For schools hit hard by the recession, Twitter is an inexpensive solution to the growing problem of increasing class sizes. It is a tried-and-true platform to let conversations flourish.

Digital newspaper. Must-see-video!

When I saw this conceptual video I was amazed what the possibilities are for new technology. The team at Bonnier R&B Beta Lab and BERG tries to make the experience of reading magazines on digital devices to something extraordinary.

They want to capture the essence of magazine reading, which people have been enjoying for decades. I really like this product! What do you think?

Young leaders needs an eye opener.

I’ve just got a study send by me from Leif Näslund on Chef.se made by Stockholm School of Economics that shows how unprepared the Y-generation are when they’ve finished their studies and starts their new jobs.

Stockholm_School_of_Economics_seal

According to the study our generation’s attitude is all wrong. We can learn new things fast and we want to but we don’t want to take big responsibilities and handle conflicts. And the fact that we are missing out how to negotiate is a big problem too.

So please read the study and I hope you will get an eye opener as I’ve got. But now when we know what our employers wants – adept and become a great leader!
